James M. Barber
West Virginia Personal Injury Attorney
James has been representing injured clients since 1984, following his graduation from West Virginia University’s College of Law. His undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering, also from WVU, has been an asset in handling products liability cases, as well as in accident reconstruction of car and truck wrecks. In 40 years of practice, James has represented clients in every type of personal injury claim, including asbestos. In 2002, James’ client won a multi-million dollar verdict in a mesothelioma case involving second hand exposure from a parent’s work clothes.
James lives in Charleston where he and his wife raised their five children. He was involved in youth and high school soccer for years, and was instrumental in the construction of a multi-field soccer complex for the community. Today James is an avid fly fisherman and WVU sports fan.
