Over the years, the Hartley Law Group has consistently supported WVU Children’s hospital and continues to do so as the hospital enters a new stage.
WVU Children’s Annual Gala
WVU Medicine Children’s holds an annual gala to raise money for their hospitals and transport teams and encourage businesses and individuals to donate to the cause. For more than 15 years, the gala has raised funds for WVU Medicine Children’s Transport Team.
The Transport Team provides a vital service by helping patients get the critical, time-sensitive care as they travel to the hospital. Without the dedicated members of the Transport Team, countless patients could be at risk of losing their lives waiting for timely medical care. In 2021, 689 children and mothers were transported to WVU Medicine Children’s where they received critical treatment. Out of these women and children, 117 were from the Greater Wheeling Area.
The gala is sponsored by local businesses and organizations who donate to the cause and have the opportunity to take part in a meaningful event. Sponsors receive recognition from WVU Medicine, are given VIP seating, and the chance to get news coverage and recognition from the presenters.
